There are few emotions you’re feeling about your infertility that I haven’t experienced myself.”

Dr. E. Scott Sills serves as the medical director at the Center for Advanced Genetics, and has been in full-time IVF practice since completing his reproductive endocrinology fellowship at Cornell University in 1998. In addition, he is a published author, researcher, and lecturer. Dr. Sills is board certified both by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the National Board of Physicians & Surgeons. He maintains an active interest in the areas of IVF, reproductive surgery, male factor infertility, low ovarian reserve, and recurrent miscarriage. Scott is a Vanderbilt graduate and received his MD degree from University of Tennessee (Memphis) in 1992. His PhD in molecular biology (2013) was conferred by London’s University of Westminster, whose Patron is HM The Queen.

With extensive international clinical & research experience, Dr. Sills has led investigative teams from Europe and USA in the discovery of three human gene mutations. Following publication of his paper describing a previously unknown androgen receptor defect in 2002, Dr. Sills was elected to membership in the Max Planck Society (Germany) and the Royal Society of Medicine (UK). Before returning to the United States, he directed the research portfolio for Ireland’s largest fertility clinic, The Sims Institute/Sims IVF (Dublin). While there, Dr. Sills also served on the faculty at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where his scholarly output in reproductive medicine outpaced all five Irish medical schools combined.

Dr. Sills was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and is a seventh-generation Tennessean. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, American College of Surgeons, and the Royal College of Physicians (Ireland). He is among an elite group of experts who has published scholarly articles with both a Member of the United States Congress and a Member of the UK Parliament. With medical licensure/registration in California, New York, and United Kingdom, Dr. Sills serves patients from around the world.
